A comprehensive garden design and planning service

Following an initial free consultation, the design process can be tailored to your individual needs, whether you require a full set of detailed, scale drawings and plans, or simply a basic plan to work to. Typical projects involve offering the client an initial set of sketched up ideas which can then be refined through further consultation to produce a final set of plans to work to. If required, I can then offer up a free cost estimate for making the design become reality.

I tend to work primarily using computer software, as it allows alterations and alternatives to the design to be made easily and quickly, as well as offering the facility to create 3D views of the design to help in visualising the end product.

Creating beautiful gardens for people and wildlife

Gardens can be great for wildlife and are increasingly becoming an important refuge for some of our best loved animals and insects. A garden rich in wildlife can add considerably to the enjoyment it offers and it doesn’t have to involve creating a wilderness! A wildlife friendly garden can still be stylish and contemporary. A well planned and visually stunning border can be created incorporating nectar rich flowers, which will have your garden alive with bees, butterflies and other insects. Choosing and sourcing the right plants for your garden

From simple patio displays to full, colourful borders, and single specimen trees to whole orchards, I can offer a full planting design and supply service. Planting schemes can be drawn up according to your own personal likes and dislikes in terms of colour, plant types and styles. For those wishing to source and plant themselves, I can offer a design only service, providing detailed planting schemes listing plant names and quantities. I am always happy to make follow-up visits to advise on how best to maintain and look after your plants.

Hard landscaping on every scale

All manner of hard landscaping construction works undertaken including patios, paths, walls, fences, terraces, decks and raised beds. I work closely with other local craftsmen, tradesmen and groundworks contractors to undertake a wide range of jobs on whatever scale.

Water makes a wonderful contribution to any garden and even the smallest feature can make a big difference. Water features of all shapes, sizes and styles undertaken and naturalistic, wildlife ponds are a speciality.
